Its like milk but made for humans

Jean-Christophe Flatin and Toni Petersson

CEO and ex-CEO, Oatly

Oatly is the world’s original and largest oat milk company. For over 25 years, they have focused on developing expertise around oats: a global power crop with inherent properties suited for sustainability and human health.

Their commitment to oats has resulted in core technical advancements that enabled them to unlock the breadth of the dairy portfolio, including alternatives to milk, ice cream, yogurt, cooking creams, spreads, and on-the-go drinks. Headquartered in Malmö, Sweden, the Oatly brand is available in more than 20 countries globally.

Domesticated animals have been a good source of high-quality and nutritious food for thousands of years. During the last century, however, farms have been industrialized, turning the dairy industry animal factories into one of the main causes of sustainability issues and animal maltreatment.

When we choose plant-based milk over cow milk, we emit two-thirds fewer greenhouse gases, use a tenth of the land, and prevent deforestation, soil depletion, eutrophication, and antibiotics overuse.

Through superior products and clever marketing, Oatly is leading the plant-based revolution. They aim to shift 2.9 billion liters from dairy to Oatly by 2025, saving up to 2.5 million tonnes of CO2e.
